  1. 1/365: Guitar shop

We went to Worcester today, had some lunch with Andy and Emma then went for a walk around the town. I found this lovely-looking guitar shop on Friar Street. It's just the sort of place I'd like to own in about 20 years. If I don't own a bookshop or cinema by then, that is.

Note to self: go back again when it's open.

  2. Yule blog

I lost interest in this site quite a while ago, but I'm now back in a bit of a blogging mood so you can expect much more from me in 2011. This is mainly down to my deciding to embark on a 1-photo-a-day project type thing. I'll be posting all 365 photos here, so even if I don't write a lot, at least I'll be posting.

    Speaking of photos...

I really wish I was a better photographer. I plan on getting better, which will involve reading interesting photography books (suggestions welcome) and hopefully buying a better camera (although with a move to Leamington Spa planned for some time in the next 18 months I can't really see that happening).

    Happy Jesus party!

  3. Warrenmusic

I love playing the guitar, but most of the time I need all the help I can get when it comes to learning new songs. Tabs are quite good, although I sometimes find them quite difficult to follow. It doesn't help that most of the tabs I find are seldom correct.

That's why I love this man. He films himself teaching near perfect renditions of Radiohead songs and posts the videos on YouTube for lazy/tab-illiterate people like me to learn. They're ideal for me because I pretty much only want to play Radiohead songs, and I'm always much better at learning something when it's demonstrated to me a couple of hundred times.

I've recently been trying to tackle Jigsaw:

  4. We're going to Kenya!

After several weeks and what seemed like tonnes of holiday brochures, we finally booked our holiday today. At the end of September, Steph and I fly to Kenya for two weeks! We're staying in a hotel on the coast for a couple of days, going on a 3 night safari in the Tsavo East & Tsavo West National Parks, then it's back to the hotel for the rest of the holiday. I think it's fair to say I haven't been this excited in years.

  5. Hello!

I was a bit unhappy about being one of the only Web developers who didn't have an up-to-date website, so... tah-dah! Welcome, friend(s). Have a look around if you want, although I'm afraid you won't find much at the moment. Sorry for the lack of content right now but I'll slowly start adding new stuff and a few bells and whistles here and there, just as soon as I decide exactly what I want to do with the site.
